365 Challenge – Day 001
GeekWife and I started a photography challenge together. Every day for the next year, we will strive to take a picture of some significance to the day. Admittedly, GeekWife has a much better camera than I. I will use a “real” camera when I can, but often will be forced to use my iPhone.
This is Day 001.
This picture is of a picture (how meta) of my LittleGeek as it sits on my desk at work. It looks as if he’s peeking out at Yoda.

Geek Blog – Happy Halloween!
The GeekWife has outdone herself again this year. The annual GeekCostume has been completed, just in time for Halloween. I supplied the idea and the did the accessory work; GeekWife used her epic tailoring skills to choose the right fabrics, create the pattern and put it all together.

Any attack made by the Rebels against this station would be a useless gesture, no matter what technical data they have obtained. This station is now the ultimate power in the universe. I suggest we use it.
For more pictures and info on my accessory work, check after the jump (to hyperspace).
Geek Blog – Don’t Panic!
I know you forgot your towel today. That’s ok: Don’t Panic! You didn’t realize that today was Geek Pride Day: Don’t Panic!
You don’t have a friend from a small planet somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse? Don’t Panic!
Out of fish? Well. Sorry for you.
Happy Geek Pride Day (TowelDay)!

Geek Blog – Hit by the Green Koopa Shell of Jealousy
Happyseamstress recently posted the “Nerdiest Sweater Vest in the World,” an awesome knitted, wearable, World 1-1. She even reports having to dye her own yarn to get the right color for the pipe and bush.
Kotaku author Owen Good calls it like it is:
So if this sweater makes him the world’s biggest geek, it also makes her the world’s most awesome wife. (cited)
See the back of this awesome creation after the jump. (And, for the record, my GeekWife is the most awesome).
Geek Blog – Happy Birthday, Professor Hawking
Happy Birthday to one of the greatest minds of our times, Professor Stephen Hawking. He was born on this day in 1942. 2010 marks his 68th birthday.

Geek Blog – Mario’s Closet
Artwork by Glen Brogan, and before you mention anything about any missing costumes: from the artist himself:
I wanted to include as many of his power-ups as possible, but the main rule I had to follow was that I couldn’t include things that actually transform Mario himself rather that just changing his wardrobe, like the Boo mushroom from Mario Galaxy that turns him into a ghost. So I’ve mentally prepared myself for the barrage of ‘OMG WHY DIDNT U INCLUDE THIS 1 ON THERE U R DUM.’
Anyway, it made me LOL, and is in the running for a possible tshirt design at Splitreason.

Geek Blog – Halloween Fun
It seems we have a little bit of a Mario fetish at our house. Decals on the walls and shower curtains. Some of this has bled over into our Halloween fever. The GeekWife is an awesome tailor and always comes through with the best costumes for us (Halloween or not). This year is no different. More pics after the jump, including one of the little geek as a 900 year-old green guru.
Geek Blog – Klenginem: SuvwI’pu’ qan tu’lu’be
So, I thought that William Shatner’s rap video was weird. Not to mention the techno remix of his “climbing a mountain” interview. This takes the cake. Eminem’s “Without You”: in Klingon! Now we need someone to cover 50 cent in Tolkein Quenya.
Thanks to Klenginem!
