Trailer Tuesday – Karate Kid with Jackie Chan
I’d prefer to consider this an homage to the original. Pat Morita (RIP) made the first four movies what they were. Yes, Jackie Chan has big shoes to fill. Yes, it’s about Kung-fu, not Karate. No, Japan and China are not interchangeable. I’ll watch it anyway.

Geek Blog – Mario Parodies Jersey Shore
I’ve never seen Jersey Shore (I kind of don’t want to). We don’t have cable or really watch much television at the Geek House. We do; however, absolutely love the Mario Brothers. I posted a video earlier by YouTube user DrCoolSex: a trailer for a Mario Kart movie. Looks like those costumes did not go to waste.

Trailer Tuesday – Wednesday Edition
Tekken. Spring/Summer 2010. Hope it’s better than the Mortal Kombats and Street Fighters. The Trailer looks promising. Enjoy.

Trailer Tuesday – Mega Man
Fan films can be awesome or incredibly gut-wrenching. This particular film (feature length set at 107 minutes) is, oddly, both at the same time. Perhaps with multiple views, my gut-wrenched reaction may dissipate. Some. While not a high-budget film by any means, I think this particular trailer does capture some of the core essence of Mega Man; however, after seeing Avatar last weekend, a small part of me wants more CGI and approaching-the-top special effects. Supposed to premier before the summer of 2010, with a downloadable release 2 weeks later.
Thank you, Eddie Lebron, for making the effort to bring Mega Man to the big screen.

Geek Blog – Mario Grows Up
Enjoy the following inspirational “ad” for Super Mario Galaxy. Watch Mario evolve and grow over the years. It’s a few years old, but very touching. Besides, Mario RULES!
Created by Ed Peduzzi (contact info at the end of the video).

Geek Blog – New Decade: New NES Game
You read that right. The latest game for the Nintendo Entertainment System is set to hit shelves January of 2010.
A new NES game! Cartridge and all!
Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril will be available from RetroZone. Dust off that NES (don’t blow too hard) and check it out! Gameplay footage makes the game look like a beefy Mega Man clone, with a dash of Mega Man mixed with Mario 2 thrown in and looks just as difficult, if not more so!.
Very well done, SivakD!
