Geek Blog – Dork Anthem

LOL.  Should be the Geek Anthem.  Very well written.  “I was first in line to buy Halo 3/On Friday nights I play D&D.”

I love it!  Check out more of Dave and Brian’s stuff on the iTunes store.

Geek Blog – Symphony of Science 5

The Symphony of Science is a musical project headed by John Boswell designed to deliver scientific knowledge and philosophy in musical form.

The project owes its existence in large measure to the wonderful work of Carl Sagan, Ann Druyan, and Steve Soter, of Druyan-Sagan Associates, and their production of the classic PBS Series Cosmos, as well as all the other featured figures and visuals.

Geek Blog – Final Fantasy + Music Video = Win

I’m not entirely sure what drove me to dredge the interwebs’ series of tubes for “Final Fantasy Music Video” this morning, but I pulled up some real gems.  In addition to the two singles that came from the under-valued FFX-2 (Real Emotion and 1000 Words) by Koda Kumi, but also some more modern tracks that go hand in hand with choice cut scenes from the Final Fantasy series.  Here we have Clay Aiken’s “The Way” which I’ll dedicate to my lovely Geek Wife.  Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life”, Mariah Carey’s “Bye Bye” and the two FFX-2 singles are below the jump.

Geek Blog – The History of the World of Video Game Music

A musical displaying the history of video game music from the ancient Atari days through the glory of SNES-dom.  Remixed and produced by remix artist Norg.  A good trip down Nostalgia Ave.

Geek Blog – Gangsta’s Parody, IBM Style

From John Cohn, IBM Fellow, Mad Scientist and cast member of Discovery Channel’s post-apocalyptic survival show ‘The Colony’.  A fun parody of Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise.
