Geek Blog – Booth Babes

What separates a Geek from a Nerd or a Dork?  Social skills!  The ability to approach a member of the opposite sex and strike up a conversation.  One exeption to this rule occurs during trade shows where the vendors are supposed to speak with the socially inept.  Down in San Francisco, this geek is attending the Cisco Live! Networkers event.  A conference heavy on the technology details in networking and computing, one doesn’t get the same experience as, say, ComiCon, or E3; however, the BlueCat booth had a little bit of fun, and a lot of sex appeal.  (BlueCat networks produces an appliance that helps manage and monitor DHCP distribution, DNS and other network services — see I wasn’t there just for the ladies!)

Anyway, after learning about their product and taking a ride on the virtual rollercoaster (really weird without the G-forces), I convinced one of the Spokesmodels to give me a shout out.
