IV
Tear drop light springs through
The fluff gates of heaven
The songs melancholy birds sing echo in silence.
Blue-bowl sky dims pale orange
Sun yellow arrows strike from resting fire.
Blue moonlight glow sheds on the hillside
Alien terrain under the vast blanket of stars
Trip wary feet climbing to heaven
Chasing the fire,
Dreams of peace, innocence and serenity.
Past loves and dreams of lost time,
Care-free days of roaming adventure.
Recalled feelings squeeze the heart,
Tear the soul back.
To the moon-lit night,
The depressed afternoon,
The life lived before — future.
Yet one simple memory floods dreams,
And captures the mind, soul, heart,
Kidnapped to the past
And with simple symbolic setting,
Throws sand to the wind,
And minds to the sea,
Hearts to the parched earth,
Souls to the present
Euphoria.
