II
Alone in trapped chosen life
No knights on steeds leap from trees,
Wind flings arrows, lances unkempt shrubs
Shearing air twists through hair
Piercing thoughts explode in minds.
Un-rivaled growth of dreamt peace.
Saviors wrapped in red and white
Scour unvisited retreats
Eyeless, heartless men who hear
Through the soul the messages disperse.
Calling innermost fiends and vices.
Shattered feeling spreads wide in prairie
Field space crowded
With dead, still candle flames
Sobless tear drowns burnt cheeks
Scoured marks of emotion
Etched by time, deep burning grooves of pain.
Walled clocks cease to tick,
Wind-flying leaves hover and twitch
Sun-pushed clouds mark slowly passed time
While clean blue sky radiates
Through the soft white soldiers
Marching endlessly to the infinite horizon.
Daunting fire sways in ripe red wax
Violins weep and shadows sob in the corner.
Sorrow-filled, forgotten dreams
Endless memories rule supreme
The moon is dimmed and the sky
Open dark-wide without the sun
Shocked and scared over the earth
Sped breaths soar far
Thoughts yet crossed dwindle behind
And life is yet only begun
In the world never seen from now
Only dreamt of yesterday.
Burdens thrown to follow the wind
Dreams scattered across the ground,
Separated lives end with no prayer
Death is solitude to discover life.
Thick warm water cascades from the sky
Souls are rejuvenated in melancholy
Upward screaming flames
Dance in the smoldering earth
The Devil walks freely upon my soul
And where the winged serpent rests divine
Fantasies and dreams explode reality.
Wishes bleed with substance
Pooled at the red-man’s feet,
Like opaque mirrors and violet light
Exploring below. Beneath the
Conscious Dream.
